REW programme problem

Hi there,
I have installed REW but it staggering badly and freezing.
I
have installed the latest version but no difference.

Any suggestions or an alternative program please.

Hi Stuart, welcome to AV NIRVANA.

Firstly, there is a dedicated forum for REW. Any posts relating to REW should be posted there.
But before you post, search that forum for problems similar to yours. Also carefully read the instructions on installing and setting up REW.

Secondly, to get some help, you need to post a lot more information :-
PC?
CPU?
RAM?
Operating System?
Which REW did you install - windows? 32bit? 64 bit? etc.

REW is simple to install and is not a resource hog.
However, it does get a bit fiddly getting the hardware set up (mic, phantom power, correct leads, etc.). The recommended USB mic definitely helps here.
But it is a very rewarding program once it's properly set up and you start taking readings.
