Hello,
I have measured one living room of an L shape. It is ordinary living room with kitchen corner, very sparse acustic tretment. On SPL measurement there is one clear resonance at around 50 Hz. The resonance is clearly seen also at spectrogram graph. however when I try to "see" the resonance using the RT60 decay function, there is no local maximum at 50Hz. Do you guys have any explanation? The 50 Hz peak was also measured at some ( but not all) other measurements done in more different speaker/mic placement combinations in the room. It cant be because of loudspeaker or microphone, I have used the exact same setup in different room in which was the resononance at 40 Hz, here however it could be seen in RT60 decay graph.
Could the reason for the peak be simply that, there is in fact no resonance, as all the frequencies in the adjascent space are decaying for roughly the same time but because of unfortunate standing wave?. SPL, Spectrogram and RT60 decay graphs are enclosed.
Thank you guys for your help :)
