Today through October 23 Sony's very aggressive 55" and 65" A8J sale started. 65A80J is now $1,849.99 and the 55A80J is $1,699.99.

Also through October 3rd as an extra bonus for folks who bundle Sony's new HT-A9 or the HT-A7000 you get an additional $100 discount. Add the SA-SW3 and take another $100 off or even better bundle the SA-SW5 and you get another $200 discount. Sorry for the plug, but our clients get extra savings. Call for details.

Last minute update from Sony, the 77" A80J is also on sale now for $3,098 and you can also take advantage of al of the bundle additional discounts on the HT-A9, HT-A7000, SA-SW5, and SA-SW3 subwoofers.

Still far too rich for some of us. The best stuff always eventually becomes more affordable though.:)

I've had the XR-77A80J since it was available through BestBuy, March/April 2021 and bought it at the $3499 msrp. I've no regrets at buying it that price even though I know the pre-Super Bowl specials now have it at $2899. November 2021, ChadB ISF calibrated it and it made my viewing pleasure that much more fantastic. The A80J replaced an LG OLED65C8 which is now wall mounted in my bedroom, going from a 65 to a 77 was mind blowing and would do it again without another thought. I had considered an XR-83A90J at the time but $4500 more for an extra 6in in screen size was excessive, and I've also compared the A80J to the A90J in person and the heat sink(to me) didn't provide that extra brightness that would justify the excessive extra cost(even at the current prices I consider $3100 excessive). Also a plus is that the 77in A80J has the newest "EVO" panel, so if any of you are looking to go bigger and want an already extremely accurate OOB calibrated OLED, the XR-77A80J at $2899 is a really great buy, especially if you are wanting to go bigger.
