SPL Meter freezing

Any ideas why the SPL Meter in REW keeps freezing for several seconds when taking measurements? I am using REW ver 5.20.4 with AAIO4ALL V2 and a UMIK-1. It will jump up to a high db and freeze for several seconds and then go back to normal.

Sounds odd. Can you post an example mdat for a measurement where that happened?
