Anyone catch this show? Looks like it's lasted several seasons.

Yeah, it is on 5th season now, I believe.

Originally the series started off on syfy channel (seasons 1 thru 3) and then got picked up by amazon prime (season 4 and 5) after syfy cancelled it.

It has a lot of high reviews.

I watched several seasons of it. I thought it was decent. Can't recall where I left off though.

I've been binging season 1 to 3 now.

Waiting after the "festive" season to go through season 4 and then I'll be up to finish with season 5 (current)

It's quite good. As with every show, they have dud episodes once a while, but when they're on, it's captivating.

Worth the watch.

The show is based on a series of hard-sci-fi books by James S.A. Corey. (That is a pseudonym for two co-authors whose name I don't recall right now). I have enjoyed the books a lot, and also the show (up to season 3 at least), although I have to say: if you can understand what is going on without having read the books, I am impressed! But it seems that many people have been able to do so, so you may want to give it a try and see. The SFX are good, the acting passable, so if you like the Space Opera genre, it ticks many boxes.

I'm on season 2 now, but it's just not really keeping me fully awake. I've taken a break to watch LOTR 4K.

I like it better this season than Star Trek Discovery, the latter’s episodes often written with schmaltzy or happy endings. If I read it right from an article recently, The Expanse has another season booked with the conclusion already formulated.

I'm re-watching it now, before i head into the 5th season. It makes more sense this time around than the first, if you don't pay attention, you miss stuff.

Yeah, Discovery manages to squeeze what would have been 10 minutes of storyline in TNG into the whole program. Far too much touchy feely rubbish.

That about sums it up for me too. And In comparison to a lot of the other offerings lately, one might think it’s great :)

I first tuned into it a couple of months ago and binged it to catch up. About halfway through the latest season now. If you enjoy sci-fi, it is well worth checking out. there is real character development and everything!

I recommend it.

I binged the last 2.5 seasons in about a week. I'm a sci-fi nut and I really like this show.

I read all the books and am surprised that the series follows the books as close they have. I love the cast..The person they cast for Avarasella is dam near perfect fit but unfortunately, the person they cast for Amos doesn't do the character justice IHO. Season six it out but I haven't started it yet.

Before watching season 6 I started from the beginning. Wow! Even better the 2nd time around.
Great story. Thrilling ride.

I read the books written by a pair of authors under the name James S Corey. They stuck fairly close to the books but I dont remember season 6 being in the books. Season 6 was still awesome. I completed it a couple of days ago.

Just waiting for @Sonnie to chime in now that everyone commented. It will be something like, “ Well frankly I wouldn’t waste my time”.

I personally watched the first two seasons or so but got distracted somewhere along the way and lost track of what was going on. So if I revisit it I will need to start over. Don’t remember disliking it…I think the show just gets complex at some point and if you aren’t paying attention you lose track…and maybe interest.

one of my fave Sci-Fi but the last series and last episode were so obviously rushed. still a great series!

Yep, a great start but a fizzle finish. Like Walking Dead, which turned into entire seasons of characters just talking about the dumbest things (I bailed on that one), there were several great seasons, then a season of dumb, pointless conversations that sounded so concocted I could hardly stand it. That was all for me.
