I was thinking about if I can use REW to measure turntable performance. I am also wondering if anyone else has done this before and might be able to save me some time and possibly some frustration. The parameter I wanted to test was azimuth. So if I use a test LP with a swept tone or single tone I could measure the output of the left and right channels separately out of the phono stage and measure then compare their amplitudes. But is that good enough? Don’t I need channel separation too. What else might I be able to test? Distortion, wow and flutter? Or is it easier to buy a program like analogmajik?
