What is home curve? Where is it?

Hi guys,

There is a Home Curve section in REW manual, and the manual told me to know more about Home Curve in REW forum so here I am.
I searched the forum but have found nothing yet, where is it?
I think that Home Curve is a set of recommended target curve parameters offered by REW, is it correct?
'Cause I am having trouble setting the target curve, it would be great that someone give me a hand.

Hi Lily

You can find how to apply House Curve in Preferences / House Curve.

Then you go to EQ from REW main screen where you find the House Curve plotted. The Target trace is marked with "HOUSE".
This curve is then used as a target for the EQ adjustment.

It appears that both the online Help Files and .pdf download of the same still show Home Theater Shack as the place to go for house curve discussions. Here’s an article that should shed some insight.
