(April 7, 2021) XGIMI’s MoGo Pro projector proved that easy-to-use, near dummy-proof, quality portable projection is possible. Now, the Sichuan manufacturer has unveiled its next-gen technology with two new flagship projectors: XGIMI HORIZON and XGIMI HORIZON PRO.
Harnessing 2200ANSI lumens, The HORIZON series offers access to two different resolutions (1080P for the HORIZON, and 4K for the HORIZON PRO), with image sizes reaching a massive 300-inches.
Flexibility leads the charge with both models, as their 8.2” x 8.6” x 5.3”, 6.39-pound bodies are easy to lift and footprint friendly. Placement is made even easier with automatic keystone correction, smart autofocus, and an AI-powered image sensing algorithm that automatically throws an optimized image – the projectors can even identify and avoid obstacles in the projection area. And to get viewing sessions started quickly, HORIZON projectors turn on and perfect image settings in just ten seconds.
An onboard LED bulb is rated for 30,000 hours of operation, which equates to nearly 10 years of normal use. And image quality is honed through the use of 120Hz motion interpolation, which smooths fast action clips. Audio-wise, built-in 16-watt Bluetooth-capable Harman Kardon speakers provide plenty of audio power.
HORIZON Series projectors ship with Android TV functionality, allowing them to sync with various devices and streaming services through both wired and wireless network connections.
Both models are competitively priced versus the competition at $1,099 (XGIMI HORIZON) and $1,699 (XGIMI HORIZON PRO). XGIMI says the models will launch in June, with availability through major retailers. However, pre-orders open in early May through www.xgimi.com.
