OK, I will start this off. As you will learn, brevity is something I need to practice...
My internet presence over the last couple of decades has been as lcaillo, as that is my username on many other sites. I use my full name here because as one of the partners in this venture, I feel that I need to depart slightly from my previous internet persona. I have always been open about who I am, so many of you will already know me as Leonard. You may see me post as lcaillo at times because I will use that username as a regular user to be able to see what most users see, as opposed to the administrator view.
What users should know about me is that while I have been involved in AV technology very deeply for over 40 years, I remain a nominal user, with modest equipment and casual use of audio and video. I always strive to optimize my systems, but am not one to spend tens of thousands of dollars on the most esoteric equipment. I am more interested in the best value for what I intend to do. So, while I will be interested in the high end and the best equipment, and can usually discern the difference when it is there, what is important to me is the best experience of the music and video at a reasonable investment. I am probably more of a pragmatist than a fanatic, though I can be fanatical about getting the most bang for the buck. And like most here, I like to play with cool toys.
Aside from perpetually being hooked on audio and video, I have recently become involved again in archery, an activity which I have always loved. I was very active in the sport in the late 1970s through the 1990s and left due to shoulder issues. After years of rehabbing and healing I missed it so much that I am starting to shoot again and re-acquainting with many great old friends in the world of Olympic style archery. Florida, of course, is a great place for outdoor activities and I enjoy hiking and canoeing as well.
