These sounded effortless to me. You really got the sense that the cleanliness of sound is limitless. I also dig the fact that they are so proprietary - from the amplification right up to the speaker design. Anyone bringing Alcons into their home theater is getting a unique experience!

Definitely a pro audio looking speaker with their grilles... and they would get bleeding loud with only a few watts of power.

I agree, Sonnie. These are utilitarian to the core. I'd imagine that the vast majority of installs would find these speakers hidden behind acoustically transparent screens and walls. You'd likely never see them.

It's neat that you can choose the dispersion width. This could be important if you are basically a one-man room wanting to concentrate on one listening position.

I guess, also, it would come in handy for extremely large rooms where the speakers have a wide spread across the front soundstage.
