(September 27, 2024) Alcons Audio arrived at CEDIA 2024 with an incredible demo system, its new CRMS Q Line Source Speaker, and new – soon to be released – amplified loudspeaker management. We had the honor of hanging out with Alcons' founder Tom Back, who talked extensively about Alcons' entry into residential audio and some of its technologies. If you like to dig into the weeds of cutting edge tech, you'll love this chat!

Wish I could have heard these speakers in person. Some of my favorite speakers builds are built with AMT's and ribbon tweeters.

Great job covering CEDIA Todd. Awesome job :T and loved watching your youtube uploads.

It's interesting how they are packaged with the amps. While the design would likely be right down my alley, given what I like in my room, it would be hard for me to give up my McIntosh amps for a pro-amp look. Sorry, looks are somewhat important to me. And we still don't know how much they cost, right?

Definitely a pro audio looking speaker with their grilles... and they would get bleeding loud with only a few watts of power.

I wish you could hear them too... would enjoy getting your take.

These sounded effortless to me. You really got the sense that the cleanliness of sound is limitless. I also dig the fact that they are so proprietary - from the amplification right up to the speaker design. Anyone bringing Alcons into their home theater is getting a unique experience!

Thanks for the CEDIA comment - I appreciate it! They're made for you and our community!!

I agree, Sonnie. These are utilitarian to the core. I'd imagine that the vast majority of installs would find these speakers hidden behind acoustically transparent screens and walls. You'd likely never see them.
