Any Ideas On this Measurement? [Analysis Help]

Just did my first test am curious as to any ideas to sort out the low end?

A typical room measurement, taken at the Listening Position (LP), has some LF unevenness. A few questions:

  • What type of speakers do you have?
  • Do you have subwoofer(s)?
  • Any room treatment in place?
  • It looks like a single-speaker measurement, which is good. Taken at the LP?
The level below 100 Hz looks a bit low. Good job setting the vertical scale properly (40dB to 100dB).
 
Yes that was a single speaker taken at LP
Subwoofer was off.

Set your response graph at 15Hz to 400Hz... then check it with your sub.

You might move your sub around to see if you can get some room gain out of it... maybe closer to a corner.
 
OK, I was wondering why the LF below 100 Hz would be low like it is. It makes sense, being a smaller near field monitor. The peak just above 100 Hz is typical. Like Sonnie says, adding a sub and finding a good position for it in the room will help the LF response. I will look at your other plots shortly.
 
Looking at the files you posted, your response below 2 kHz is about what we would look for with small near field monitors with a subwoofer in an untreated room. The dip at 85 Hz is probably a combination of phase misalignment between speakers and sub and some boundary reflection causing some cancellation. They throw in the 120 Hz peak so it seems like they are giving you some lower bass even though they are not. Above 2 kHz the speakers don't match very well - that could be dudto alighment - and the response is about 10 dB low. There might be a treble control turned all the way down.

Where are you hoping to go from here?
