ASIO4ALL Issues

I am all of the sudden having issues with ASIO4ALL with REW. I am able to get FlexASIO to work, but I'd still like to figure out what's going on with ASIO4ALL.

When I try to load it in REW I get the following error:

ASIO4ALL V2 GENERATED AN ERROR

COM.SYNTHBOT.JASIOHOS.ASIOEXCEPTION: NO INPUT OR OUTPUT IS PRESENT

I am getting input thru my UMIK-1 and output thru my processor... tested in Sound settings, etc... all works fine. And as mentioned, works in FlexASIO as well.

I tried uninstalling ASIO4ALL and reinstalling it, but upon execution of the file, I get the following:

error opening file for writing

I've tried Run as Administrator and run the compatibility troubleshooter to no avail.

This was working all fine just last week. Scratching my head at what could be causing the issue.

I was able to get the ASIO4ALL installed again. REW was tying up the .ddl file even though it was not running. I had to go into Task Manager and stop REW from running in the background.

However, I still get the above error for no input or output present.

Looks like there may still be an issue with the ASIO4All installation if REW cannot load the driver. The no inputs or outputs message can occur if none of the available devices are selected for use in the ASIO4All control panel.

That's why I uninstalled and reinstalled.

I check the ASIO4ALL control panel and all devices are lit up bright blue.

Scratching head for sure.

Is any other application using ASIO4All?

Not when I look at the Task Manager... don't see anything under Processes, Startup or Services that I recognize that would be using it.

I noticed I only get this error when I select the UMIK-1 mic in Preferences... it pops up.

The UMIK-1 doesn't run at 44.1 kHz, it is 48 kHz only.

When I select FlexASIO it changes it. Changing it to 44.1 doesn't help... still get the error.
