Logitech Harmony 650
I purchased this old Logitech Harmony 890 remote off of Ebay with all the bits that go with it and the remote is immaculate. The rechargeable battery is bad but I had previously ordered some because of the same model that I am now using. Its in such nice shape that I made it the remote for the bedroom and the older bedroom remote will be going to the trailer/cottage.

They have been infamous over the years. I can't see how Logitech didn't lose money when they stopped making them.

That model was my first Harmony remote! Before getting it It wasn’t unusual to come home from work to a dead tv and frustrated wife. Afterward it was smooth sailing and an uncluttered coffee table.
I know everything is converting to use of a smart device, but I’ll always prefer a small handheld device with tactile buttons so there’s no need to look at it when it’s used.

I think they cut productions because they are making substantially more profit with the other products. Its unfortunate because Logitech purchased Harmony, a Canadian company. Yes, Harmony was invented by Canadians. :)

What I like about he 890 over the newer models is that you can order he activities on the display screen that the new Harmony remotes such as the 650,655, and 700 series can't do.

I never owned a Harmony remote.... I always stuck with the URC remotes, mainly the MX-890.... I still have two.

I am not fond of the larger remotes. I prefer using smaller remotes like my Apple TV-sized remote. The StormAudio remote is small, as is the Kaleidescape, one of my McIntosh remotes, and a miniDSP remote. My Sony TV remote is also small. I probably use the small Apple remote most of the time. For music, I usually use my X1 Carbon laptop for Roon, but I have begun to use my S25 smartphone for that, which also has the StormAudio remote on it.

I wish someone would come out with a super small universal remote with maybe 6 presets, volume, channel, and power buttons that can learn macros.
