(March 10, 2020) Happy Monday, AV NIRVANA! The good news is that old man winter is beginning to pack his bags (it's a blistering 72 degrees here in the Nation's Capital), but it's probably safe to say we all need a mind-escape from a certain virus that's made its way to our shores. And that's why we're here – to give all of our fantastic members an escape into the wicked world of home theater!
Our resident movie maven, Michael Scott, has been on a roll recently, tapping his vast network of contacts to whip-up some fun Flash Giveaway opportunities... and lucky for you, we have another one (with a fantastic double-barrel shotgun of fun poised to be announced NEXT)! This time we have one of last year's top flicks and winner of THREE Oscars: 1917. This movie has received an incredible amount of praise, all of which is more than deserved. To put it bluntly: this is one movie EVERY home theater fan should have in their collection... cocked, locked, and ready to rock!!
We're offering one of you – one of our beloved members – a chance to bring 1917 home on Blu-ray, shipped direct from our great friends at Universal! The film is set to be released on March 24th, so our official review will go live soon. In the meantime, you'll be happy to note this Universal Blu-ray release is endowed with a Dolby Atmos encode. And those of you rockin' a Cinemascope setup, you'll love the fact it carries a 2.39:1 image as well!
Most of you know the entry rules by heart, but here it goes for those you that are new: If you’re not a member, you’ll need to become one to enter the contest. Membership is 100% free… although you can certainly opt to support our site through various levels of Premium Memberships.
