College Football 2020

I caught a little bit of Tua over the last two weeks. Funny how you didn't hear anything out of Miami, couldn't catch a game anywhere that I looked, up until the last couple of weeks. I mentioned to my wife that I was curious why Miami hasn't been on TV any this year, and she said she didn't think Tua was starting. I couldn't believe it. I guess now that he's playing they are starting to get them on TV more.

Yeah, I hope we aren't stale and UK doesn't throw a wrench in the season.
 
I live in central FL and the Miami games are always televised. His first start was two weeks ago I think. Anyway, after hearing that is when I tuned in.

Funny, this is the third time Locksley (ex-coach) has coached at Maryland.

They are very young... 57 new players this year (I believe 40 are freshman, 17 transfer).

Saban runs a machine down there. I can understand the allure of wanting to play there... but your comment is true. Not every kid is cut out for that kind of dog-eat-dog environment!

I know. BUT... pretty sure OSU was going to have their way with the Terps. I don't think they're ready for that kind of competition. Never know, I guess.

That’s one of the reasons I favor college sports vs professional. You really don’t ever know until the game is played. The unexpected happens frequently.
 
This season should just end. 20 players out from COVID for the Gophers today. Why is anyone even bothering? Why are they potentially putting these kids’ health at risk? So us dummies can watch? Pretty sad state of affairs.
 
Clemson and FSU was just canceled... they must have read your comment mech.

Ok, I watched a good chunk of the OSU - Indiana game and hereby rescind my previous comments that Maryland might have had a chance. :hide:
 
I thought Indiana was going to come back and tie it up there for a bit, but they flubbed the dub.
 
This weeks games...

Hoping UK can play as well as their basketball team this week against the Gators. An impossible ask I know, but maybe they'll try to restore some pride after the thumping they took last week.

Although Alabama is a solid favorite for the Iron Bowl everyone knows Auburn is going to try to make their season with a win. Roll Tide!

Notre Dame - North Carolina will have a good audience tomorrow, including, hopefully, me.

Turkey smells good in the oven as I type!

Iowa State has only had one positive test since fall camp, and that was our Play x Play announcer.

Clinched at least a share of the conference title today.

Yep... and I don't think ND can take them with Trevor in the game. I think he makes the difference in that game.

I still think Clemson might be the best team, only because I think their defense is better than Bama's. Offensively, Bama, Clemson and OSU may be on par with one another... maybe even Florida and BYU are in that group, but Clemson just seems to have the more solid defense of all of them. Notre Dame's defense is good too... maybe even better than Clemson, but they don't have the offensive fire power to hang with Trevor, Mac or Justin... IMO.
 
Is that Kentucky I see giving the Gators a bit of aggravation in the first half?
 
I thought may Penn State might get their first win, but it looks like the Wolverines are back in the game now.
 
Indiana - Wisconsin will be on my watch list. Should be a good competition and Gators play at the same time.
I am looking forward to the Gators in the SEC championship where the Tide will let em know they’re not as good as their ranking. :)

Not much chance the playoff picture will change this week but still good to get another look at some really good players.

Good call. Much more competitive than the OSU game.
Hard for me to figure out how A&M would stack up against the top 4. Is the defense really just that much better and keeping the offense in the game?
