Comparing my Dali and Klipsch center

Yes, to some aesthetics might be an issue especially in a multi purpose room. Just throwing gunk against the wall.

I appreciate the ideas. I always love doing research and window shopping. I have also been waiting for the new Chane to come out.

I've never heard the Chane speakers but they've gotten lots of love by members and staff here. There's just so many options out there it can almost get overwhelming at times.

I'm sure I'm over thinking this...but going a different direction. The Dali 3 bookshelf has the same set up as my 7's. I wonder if the dialogue and clarity would be using one or even two as a center.
I know no one can answer this just thinking out loud. Might give Dali a shout see what they think. They were pretty helpful during my original purchase.

Since the center is under the TV in a cabinet, is it angled up slightly or facing straight? I have my center similarly place and used a folded towel to angle it up slightly toward my head at the main listening point. Doing so with yours might also help.

What kind of room treatment are you using? Typically, if the room acoustics are not addressed, increasing the gain of the center will not help. It can even exacerbate the problem if reflections are the issue. This is why the Klipsch could sound better. That tatrix horn focuses the sound into a more controlled dispersion which helps with 1st reflections. Is the Klipsch center sealed or ported?

Can you run some sweeps with REW?

It's ported. I don't have a dedicated HT room so it's kinda hard to place proper room treatments and etc. it's a shame. I absolutely love the Zensor towers. I'm not done with the center yet. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and decompress.

Sure, I can answer and possibly save you some money!

Don't double up on the center channel, the two speakers will interfere with each other causing lobing errors (peaks and nulls). Look for one capable center channel, preferably a bit more heroic than the left/right mains. For instance, my mains each have a single 5 1/4" woofer. My center has two 5 1/4" woofers.

Most of the program material will be directed to the center, so it needs to be robust.
