Hi, first post here
I do have issues with what DATS V3 tells me about a given woofer and how WINISD interpret it.
i get data intergrity error red flag no matter what i do.
Woofer in question is a Goldwood GW15-pc-4
i made several tests with DATS and the results really dont match the actual spec sheet of the woofer, i am not surprised of this since its a cheap woofer.
would there be a way to know whats wrong with it ?
the main difference is the VAS measurement
the spec is 4.4ft3 but once measured with the added weight method, i get 8,1ft3...
i did try different weights to no avail (100g to 400g)
here are the spec i get:
DATS GOLDWOOD
QTS 0,5 0,430
QES 0,56 0,49
QMS 4,48 3,14
MMS 148 173.3
VAS 8,163 4,4 FT3
FS 30,1 33,3 HZ
as you can see there is a lot of differences, but its worse when i enter thoses parameters in WINISD it gets red tagged.
I initially followed original specs (didnt knew the existence of DATS at that time) and what winisd told me so about 12ft3 box and 30hz fs (two driver into the box same volume ala 4351)
with the real measured parameters i end up with a 16ft3 box....i am glad i didnt made it this big looool.
