Giveaway Spectacular! Win Reference Gold with Auro-3D's Immersive Audio Demo Discs!!

full?d=1643998622.png

(February 4, 2021) Today, we're kicking off another sweet Giveaway opportunity for AV NIRVANA members that live around globe! Thanks to a fantastic partnership with our great friends at Auro Technologies, we're giving away two pieces of reference immersive gold: the company's 2014 Auro-3D Demonstration Disc and Auro-3D Demonstration Disc, Vol.2. If you currently run an Auro-3D speaker arrangement, or have an Auro-3D receiver or processor but haven't deployed a proper Auro arrangement, this is your chance to bring home spectacular demo material.

Auro-3D was the industry's first immersive technology and it remains the most unique, dividing up audio playback into layers of sound that replicate what we naturally experience in real-world environments. The technology enjoys success in consumer markets around the world, while also being featured as a premier technology in many of the commercial cinemas we attend here in the United States and abroad. Several years ago, AV NIRVANA used SVS's Elevation speakers and an Auro capable Marantz SR7012 to create a true Auro-3D theater system, and the results were phenomenal. If you'd like to read about Auro's origins, its creator, and the entire demo experience, click here.

Speaking from personal experience, I've heard Auro properly executed in demo rooms at industry shows and within my own theater room, and it can be jaw dropping! In fact, several demo clips contained on this Giveaway's demo discs ("Passing Tractor" and "Amsterdam Dam Square") are the most realistic, real world sounding immersive audio tracks I've ever heard, and that includes spectacular tracks encoded in Atmos and DTS:X. Additionally, I regularly use Auromatic upmixing to enhance legacy 7.1 and 5.1 content, and Auromatic is the only upmixer I'll use with stereo music tracks. Hopefully, the winner will enjoy similar experiences with these discs!

Now for contest rules and requirements (please read carefully – including the fine print):

Just like that... the freebie entry is gone.

Wilfried Van Baelen is the correct answer. And, I might add... he is super fun to chat with. Massive enthusiasm, rich experience... just an all-around nice gentleman!

Thanks for this contest. I've been watching Auro-3D technology for several years and getting a demo disc would likely propel me to getting a new AVR that supports Auro.

SEPARATELY - I just found out about AVNirvana and registered. Looking forward to exploring many areas of this community.

Those 2 discs would come in handy for a comparison between the different speaker arrangements for immersive audio.

(I recently installed 19 surrounds, to be able to switch with as little compromise as possible for speaker positions between Auro-3D, Atmos and DTS X Pro. Choices: Bed layer from 5.1 to 9.1 plus a choice of 13 height surrounds / top speakers at various fixed positions. Max channels at the same time is 15 though with the Denon AVC 8500H.

Yup… agree with your assessment. Awesome that you have so many speakers in place. It would be great to start a thread about your system and experiences with it. I think you could relay a lot of useful info to folks considering multi-codec immersive arrangements!

I would love to win the first disc, but since I already own Volume 2, I would be happy to pass that one on to another forum member, if I were fortunate enough to be selected.
