(April 9, 2025) Kaleidescape has officially landed in Australia, bringing its high-performance movie platform to home theater fans down under for the very first time. This marks a significant geographic expansion for the California-based brand and its first foray into the Asia Pacific region.

“Australia has passionate home theater enthusiasts who appreciate the very best in picture and sound quality,” said Priscilla Morgan, president and COO of Kaleidescape. “Expanding into this market with a strong partner like Audio Active allows us to offer Australian customers the ultimate entertainment experience in their homes.”

The move pairs Kaleidescape with Audio Active, an established distributor of luxury AV products in Australia, who will now serve as the exclusive distributor for Kaleidescape’s residential line. Australian customers will have access to Kaleidescape’s full product ecosystem, including the Strato V, Strato C, and the newly launched Strato M movie player—plus a range of Terra Prime movie servers in 12TB, 24TB, and 48TB configurations.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kaleidescape to bring the world’s best home cinema technology to Australian customers,” said Bruce Thierbach, general manager sales and marketing for Audio Active. “With an extensive selection of titles and industry-leading playback quality, Kaleidescape sets a new standard for premium home entertainment in Australia.”

Alongside the hardware, Kaleidescape’s Movie Store will go live in Australia with a robust catalog of 4K and HD titles, including movies, TV series, and concerts sourced from major Hollywood studios. As the world’s only digital provider of full reference video quality and lossless audio, Kaleidescape’s service has become a mainstay in high-end U.S. theaters, and its expansion into new territory is likely to draw interest from serious home cinema enthusiasts looking to avoid the compromises of traditional streaming platforms.

The launch also comes on the heels of the recently announced Strato M player—Kaleidescape’s smallest and most affordable unit to date. Priced at $1,995 USD, the Strato M is designed to serve as an entry point into the Kaleidescape ecosystem, offering lossless audio and reference-quality 2K video output. It supports multichannel audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and is scalable with Terra Prime servers for larger installations or multi-room use.

Customers in Australia can explore the full range of products—and future availability details—through Audio Active’s website at www.audioactive.com.au.
