(August 17, 2023). The Florida Audio Expo has announced its return to Tampa with a new name and concrete dates! Now known as the Florida International Audio Expo, the event is scheduled to be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore Hotel, February 17-19, 2023.

“We felt the name change was important to reflect the wonderful group of exhibitors who support us, and to welcome exhibitors and attendees from around the globe,” said Bart Andeer, co-founder and operations manager of the Florida International Audio Expo. “We believe we have the formula for international success—beautiful weather, easy access to the airport, great-sounding rooms, and strong attendance from music lovers of all ages. We were thrilled with the success of our 2022 show, and appreciate everyone who attended!”

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore was originally built as condominiums and offers a luxury feel, with acoustically isolated living suites. Each audio room will feature a display area that includes a separate bedroom and kitchen, offering exhibitors the added benefit of a multipurpose room as an interesting and affordable alternative to typical hotel-style shows and crowded ballroom exhibitions. The Embassy Suites is within convenient driving distance of Tampa International Airport, is close to such attractions as Busch Gardens, and is just an hour’s drive from Walt Disney World.

Additional benefits for attendees and exhibitors staying at the Embassy Suites include a free airport shuttle, free breakfast, and a free happy hour.

Glad it’s back. I was really disappointed I couldn’t get there this year. Been twice and it’s a great way to spend a day.

The venue sounds unique. One thing that drives me crazy at audio shows is small rooms that pick up sound from other rooms! Looks like FIAE 23 doesn't have that problem!

While I'm not crazy about the venue, I'm glad it's in my state. :T

Haha… well, I guess it is. :T

Seriously though, it's the typical near the water hotel. It's decent rooms, nasty traffic, limited parking (that you pay for).

The good:
You are in usually in SUNNY Florida with perfect weather, around the bunch of wankers you love daily (online) and listening to tunes and seeing some great people, systems and things not to do.

You'll walk, drive or fly away with a smile on your face wondering why the hell you're going home to shovel snow.

So yeah, it's PERFECT!

I park across the street at the shopping plaza. Free :)

Because the venue was built as condos, I think it likely lends itself well to the purpose vs alternatives.

The beaches are close by. Make it a Florida vacation and treat yourself if you’re coming from out of town!

Correct on all counts. Massive mall lot across street. Free. Not sure how Jason missed that.
Yes, it was built as condos (the main reason it was selected amongst the hundreds here) so solid walls between units, minimal bleed through even side by side...but, the rooms are staggered, so spaced out by one in between suite, by show design.
Beach less than a mile away.

I parked there in the first year...
