Second game wasn't as close as the first one..

Minnesota had no miracle in this game like they did last week..

Philadelphia Eagles are going to the Superbowl after destroying the Vikings 38 to 7.

Updated bracket from cbssports. Both number 1 teams face each other in the Big Show.

The two teams met in Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005 with the Patriots winning 24–21. It marked Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's third career Super Bowl win.

According to bloomberg,

"21st Century Fox Inc. is close to a deal for the rights to “Thursday Night Football,” according to people familiar with the matter, betting that adding NFL games to its prime-time schedule will boost viewership despite the league’s recent decline in the ratings.

The company submitted a bid that’s higher than the $45 million a game CBS and NBC agreed to pay last year, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information."

Superbowl is this Sunday.. Anybody watching?

On NBC, Sunday night starting at 5:30pm

I just hope it is a good close game. :)

I don't know Jeff... I'm not sure if your Chiefs just fleeced my Redskins or not. You guys got a pretty talented young player.

I hope Alex Smith can actually pull together successful red zone performances - something we're not used to here in DC.

Yep, hate to say it but I think the general consensus is we did. Alex Smith is a good QB and pretty much guarantees you a respectable record but sheesh! Come playoff time he just can’t seem to make that game winning drive. His stats might not be as pretty as Kirk Cousins but he’ll win in the regular season. I was surprised by the alleged offers on the table for him. We’re thrilled to add Fuller alongside Marcus Peters and the 3rd rounder was just icing on the cake.

Smith and Cousins have nearly identical stats, actually... but Smith's winning percentage is exponentially better.

I don't think it's a good sign for Washington. It's not like Smith is being inserted into an offense that's robust and high functioning. The Skins are a veritable mess.

I’d be willing to wager that Alex will have a much higher winning percentage while leading the Skins. The problem will be his performance in the playoffs. He’ll get you there but then disappoint.

The Skins are a total car wreck... it’s such a dysfunctional organization that it’s tough to tell where the problems lay. Cousins had some good stats, but never was a gamer. So I’ll be interested to see what happens with Smith!

Smith just seems to tighten up on game winning drives in the playoffs. Part Andy Reid’s fault with the play calling. I’ll be following him even though he’s no longer our QB. One thing he is though is a leader and a stand up guy. Nothing but respect.

You do bring up the other part of the equation: Andy Reid.

You do have to wonder how much of the issue is Reid. He never got it done with the Eagles... although they had some big playoff wins. I lived in Philly for the majority of the McNabb years. That was an exciting team to watch (not easy to admit being a Skin’s fan).

My wife is from Philly... one kid born in downtown, the other right outside of the city... so there’s little doubt who we’re rooting for during the big game tomorrow!
