I assume an "m" means milliseconds and a "u" means microseconds?

Yes, correct. The unit is given only once at the very right end of the scale. Strictly according to the ISO standard, this is an incorrect presentation of figures, but in my opinion an acceptable solution when weighing up space limitations and correctness.
