Hello, I am considering a new AVR.
Is there any information available about Pioneer having new models for 2023 ?

I’ve not heard any rumblings about emergent models. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t see announcements… let’s see what January brings

Last night I saw Electronics Expo (through Amazon) is selling the VSX-LX505 for $1499.00.
I went ahead and bought one so unless I overthink this to infinity and beyond I am no longer in the market.
The page says there are 3 left as of 0740 2022/12/31
Thanks again for responding to my question.

Don’t overthink it… it’s a great piece of equipment. It sounds like you’ve done your homework, so no need to rehash all of the technologies packed into the 505, but it’s loaded up! Outside of some sort of independent processor, I don’t see Pioneer releasing anything that will make you regret buying it. AND, if they do, you can sell what you have at a minimal loss and try something else ;-)

Integra just announced the DRX 8.4....

I expect the Pioneer LX805 sibling can't be far away!

We're witnessing a bit of a brand separation between Integra and the Onkyo/Pioneer gear. They worked their tails off to get the 8.4 to market, as we see it. Literally, a 3 year grind of pulling all of the pieces together. It will be interesting to see what comes next and how differentiated it is from Integra's CI-friendly flagship.

I'm hoping that they will maintain the Pioneer tradition of Class D amps...

Then we will start to see real differentiation between the siblings, rather than what has been to date, mainly badge engineering

During the relaunch, I was told Class D *might* happen again... but it sounded like it was tied to whether or not sales were strong.

Wonder who might be licensing the use of the Daniel Hertz Mighty Cat chip? How might that scale down into other products?
