Minimum phase generation needs to use suitable low and high frequency tails for best accuracy, but note that DAC reconstruction and anti-alias filters are usually not minimum phase.same maybe work for the phase ?

It is not meaningful to look at the excess phase for most soundcards as they do not have minimum phase reconstruction filters, most are linear phase.
