REW 5.19 can't recognize as .mdat file data created on REW 5.20

Hi all,

I have both versions on my Mac. The 5.20 version is the latest build. Unfortunately, when I try to share the scans with a friend, he cannot open them. He gets the "files not recognized" as .mdat error.

Any suggestions, beyond him downloading the latest REW or other explanations for this error?

I'm confident that I've seen JohnM mention ( a few times ) that files created with 5.20 are not backwards compatible with older versions of REW.

So ( based on that ) your friend should update his version of REW to the latest .
