REW and FIR filters?

What is the technical reason why REW does not generate FIR filters? Thanks!

The limited number of hours in a day and the availability of excellent free tools for doing that, like rePhase.

May be you can assist/convince Thomas Drugeon to add a "match response to target" algortihm to the paragraphic graphic equalizer in rePhase. I have achieved very good results by using both software but the rePhase stage takes many hours to optimize.

Could always pay for FIR designer which does what you want.
