REW on M1Mac?

Quick easy question: can REW be downloaded on the new M1 Mac yet (macOS Big Sur 11.4)? If not, any idea when it will become available? Thanks!

I was wondering whether REW can use a local java installation. There are now M1 native JRE and JDK (for instance, through home-brew or Azul) and therefore it would be interesting to use a M1 optimised java VM. Is this possible?

No (I think it became mandatory to embed the runtime some years back), but I will be looking at having either a universal build that embeds Intel and M1 runtimes or separate Intel and M1 builds.

Well, that was quick! I was on vacation for a week and intended to offer help in debugging any issue upon my return. But I found that a M1 native (set of, because it is java) REW came available in the meantime. I can confirm that this think is VERY responsive. Java programs tend to be a bit laggy, however on my little M1 this is way more responsive than on the (3y old) intel MacBook. Good job!
