REW Beta Release REW V5. 19 Beta 6 Help or Guidance?

I have used this beta for a while now but have recently run into some issues
When I select certain speakers the sweep is coming from a completely different channel

eg
I selected ch 6 which should be Rear Back Left and it sweeps Rear Back Right
on another occasion I selected ch2 which should be Front Right and it swept my Right surround

Obviously even though I have used REW in the past with no problem so concluded that something must be wired wrong
I triple checked and all the wiring is as it should be, confirmed using test tones from various sources and they all come from the correct speakers.

I can think of no logical reason why I have this problem
I am using my Left Surround as an acoustic timing reference via a Denon 7200 WA and a Emotiva power amp powering L/C/R/ LS/RS

If you deselect the use of a reference channel, does this ( chnl-ordering ) problem persist ?

As I was engrossed in what I was doing I never tried that
The next time I run into the same issues I will do as you suggest

I never even noticed I was on a Beta version
In any case I have now downloaded to Beta 8

Channel mappings can be changed in the OS, not something REW can affect but other software might.

I definitely think it is either down to my laptop (windows 10) and my Denon 7200 channel switching
I don't think you can ever be thanked enough for developing this amazing program
