They’re greige. We haven’t decided on a color yet. Locking in the fabric and absorption treatments, then we will try to select a paint color.

Looking good man . Hope your enjoying the nice days outside when we hitting the 60s lately.
Been getting out a little bit but I’ve also been a bit under the weather this past week. Finally feeling better today.

We just finished watching Rocketman. Even just at 5.1, and not all of the acoustic treatments in-house yet, I’m happy to report that the sound in this room has surpassed the last home theater.

The Triad Bronze LCRs are really doing the trick, and they’re blending brilliantly with the SVS sub.

I put up two ATS absorption panels flanking the screen yesterday which made a huge difference. Just purchased rights to a print to have GIK Acoustics put on a large panel for the huge open space on the right wall and we should be set. I built my panels in the old house by myself but ditched most of my tools and don’t want the hassle this time.

So at this point the only true “project” remaining is the above and below the screen areas. Just need time to get to Joann and pick up the fabric. Real, real pleased.

Hey, I have some black Gik acoustic fabric left over from when I re-covered my second hand panels. I don’t see a need for it anytime in the future. Don’t know if your interested…would have to check how much is on the roll still. Let me know and we can possibly meet up.

I’d definitely be interested. I’ll shoot you a quick DM. Thanks!

Made a run to Joann and bought twice as much fabric as I needed, so it’s a good thing I had a 50% off coupon, but I got that up this weekend, so soon you’ll be seeing some more videos coming from the room!

Look'n GOOD!

Been quiet here this month as we all caught the plague. Been watching lots of movies, though, and plan to film a video on one of the new pieces this weekend!

Video review of my new screen went live today. Article for the home page soon to follow!

Well, I've obviously been watching movies. I posted the screen video and then forgot to follow up with anything else.

Well, I've been busy posting stuff, just not on this thread. Lots of progress, lots of movies, lots of activity.

Still to-do:
  • Right wall absorption panel - we licensed an art print, just need to get the material ordered and build the frame for the panel
  • In-ceiling Atmos channels + amplifier - still selecting components
  • Finishes on screen wall - holding off for potential change
  • Might be auditioning a completely new set of speakers soon, which would influence the selection of Atmos components
  • Sell the treadmill and clean up clutter
Current Rack:
  • Sony X800 UHD disc player
  • Anthem AVM-60 processor
  • Emotiva UPA-500 amplifier
  • Power
  • Network switch
  • Kaleidescape Strato C
  • Kaleidescape Terra 6TB
  • PLEX Server
  • Printer
  • Alesis HD24 recorder

And the screen wall:
  • SeymourAV Proscenium 124" diagonal 2.4:1 CenterStage UF Acoustically Transparent Screen w/Motorized Masking
  • Triad InWall Bronze LCR x3
  • Triad OnWall Bronze LCR x2
  • SVS PB2000 sub

Looks great! I miss having a dedicated room and a full wall screen...when we move to Europe in a couple of years, and buy a house I will do my final build.
Didn’t you just move to Mexico?

I've been in a holding pattern for awhile, but that has changed...I swapped out the Triads this week for the new NextLevel Acoustics Reference Cinema speakers all the way around. Not to give too much away, because I'll be doing a full video review soon, but the 8" woofers blend much more seamlessly with my sub than the Triads with their 5 1/4" woofers.

This upgrade required me to completely pull the front false wall back to the studs, do some repositioning to make them standard 16" on center to accommodate the new speakers. It also gave me the opportunity to clean up the insulation, cover everything with landscape fabric and add the black velvet above and below screen much more neatly and effectively.

Also coming soon --- new turntable review(s)!

Things are coming together very quickly these last couple months.
The NextLevel Acoustics Reference Cinema speakers are just phenomenal. Next week I’ll have four of their angled bookshelves to add as height channels, and a Parasound amp which will take over for the bed layer moving the Emotiva to the heights.
And today more of my acoustic and light pollution treatments arrived. I came across these panels from Defi last year but finally ordered a pack to mount on the ceiling to cut down on the light reflecting on the ceiling and also to kill some more of the early reflections. I think they look very cool, as well as serving multiple purposes for the room.

Looks good...when I had my old setup I put telescope black hole felt on the ceiling (screen to first reflection points on the ceiling) in front of my screen to stop reflections from the ceiling and it worked great.

This is not an enclosed theater space, though, so I'm trying to keep the decor away from the 'blackout' of an ideal theater. Our previous house had the blackout theater. This one, however, has a wide open loft floor plan.

Mounted the ceiling cloud tonight. It’s intended 70% light absorption, and 30% sound absorption. So far so good.
