Bummer. No fun to spend time only to find out something isn't capable of working :-(. Good idea, though.

so, adding a second sub was not a fail.
Very misleading title.

The fail was you putting 1000w to a 100w sub.
Sorry, but duh....

Adding a second sub is one of the best ways to handle dips and peaks in a room that previously had a single sub.

Or just replace the driver in the passive with an equivalent (preferably one with higher power handling).
