Hi there!

I'm new here. Trying to use REW to measure my humble bedroom studio. I have a Mac mini and a Focusrite Scarlett USB audio interface. I connected a behringer ECM800 microphone to this. Monitor outputs are 1 and 2. Microphone is on channel 3. First I used output 4 and fed that into input 2 for the loopback, to calibrate the SoundCard. I got a very bumpy curve, which I think can't be correct. I looks like it is also takes measurements from the microphone. I then tried to use output 2 (right monitor out) to feed into input 2, but now the volume is way lower than the "ref in" is almost 40db lower that the "output". Must be doing something wrong. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the response. The fact that i get a complete not flat response of my soundcard makes me think I’m doing something wrong. Not sure if when I just skip that step, the measurements are valid.

Monitoring must be turned off for measurement, none of the input signal can be allowed to feed back to the output.

ah, I had to put the loopback into the same input as the mic input. Now it works. Thanks!
