U.S.: Hurricane Michael to hit Florida

"Hurricane Michael will continue to intensify and is forecast to strike the Florida Panhandle as a Category 3 with dangerous storm surge flooding, destructive winds and flooding rainfall. Michael will also bring heavy rain and strong winds to other parts of the southeastern United States after it moves inland."

It's pounding the Florida coast right now. We shut down our shops... lots of hard rain and minor wind for now.

We got pounded with rain for a few hours, probably still more to come. We are far enough into the mountains that we rarely get more than a stiff breeze. Hope you all are well and safe.

We got by without anything serious here... just far enough away to miss the worst. Just an hour from here they are still without power and have a bit to clean up... and just 2 hours from here... literally a 2 hour drive... it is absolutely devastation. Amazing how close it came to us and we might have had a small limb or two fall... and never lost power. We are blessed!
