Hi guys, first thread so 8 hope it is in the right place.

Ok,bought my setup about 10 years ago and moved 3 times in that period. Bought my current house 2 years ago as a kind off a fixer upper.

My sound is starting to, let's say irritate me. Newbie so acoustics, setup, or upgrade but it doesn't sound good at all.

My stuff:
Yamaha rx a2010
Yamaha blue ray player
Klipsch rxv 54 floor with compatibile centre
Surrounds, the 180 deg ones, will check model
New 12" klipsch sub

Sounds stupid but I was advices on equipment and they came to set it up and all was good. Now it is a mess according to me. Hahaha could be hearing loss with age as well.

My av was hit by lightning though but got it fixed through ensutlrange and made sure they use original yamaha parts.

Thanks in advance guys.

Some pics if it will help. Room is 9m wide and 8m long.

If you aren't happy... with all the new features and upgrades that have surfaced in 10 years, you would no doubt discover a host of improvements by upgrading. I would also recommend equipment that had either Dirac Live, which I highly recommend, or at the very least Audyssey, which either are significantly better that YPAO and can really help with the sound.

Thanks for the reply. The YAPO, came to the setting a week ago and set it to straight, sounds better than the YAPO front ...

I just hoped it was setup to give me that thrilling sound it used to. It doesn't sound clean and clear anymore, hurts my ears after 30 min of loud music. You do think the av can drive the speaker effectively in the big room, right.
