Using a MixPre 6 as an interface

I'm trying to get REW 5.18 set up with a Sound Devices MixPre 6 as the interface (Win 10). Output is fine, but it's not finding the mic input unless I turn up the channel, which sends the mic signal to the output, polluting the signal. I had no problems like this with a Focusrite Saffire 2i2 (which has bitten the dust).

Anybody using an SD MixPre with REW?

If the mic input is getting to the output that needs to be fixed. From a quick skim of the manual you will need to go to the outputs menu and make sure only the USB input is routed to the output.
