What are you listening to right now?

Yup. Another classic... classic blues/rock that is...

Led Zeppelin's I Can't Quit You Baby (2012 Remaster)

This morning's rendition also features playback using Dirac with Bass Management (beta) in a 2.2 config. Very nice.

So I'm walking down 6th in Austin TX last Friday night and hear these awesome, high energy, blues guitar sounds coming from one of the local establishments. Wandered in to find this guy just crushing it: What a talent and lucky me 'cause he'll be in central FL in October so I'll get watch him play again soon.

Some of his albums are on Tidal and QoBuz. If you like the sound of SRV you'll like this guy's playing.

Edit: Hope I'm not violating any forum rules with this... Here's a sample I captured with the iPhone...

Haven't played this album in a while. Forgot how great it was.

I don't have Quadrophenia. I may have to rectify that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hard to pick just one favorite. It’s one of those rare albums where every track is excellent. Never was a need to lift the tone arm and move it over.

Been listening lately to a huge variety of stuff.

John Mayer, specifically the live 4LP set and the John Mayer Trio album.

Satsang, we saw them Friday night so there was a lot of listening leading up to that show.

Soul Coughing, a few weeks ago I took my 13yo and we caught Mike Doughty touring the 25th anniversary of Ruby Vroom. Just simply blown away. Every time Soul Coughing crosses my mind, it results in months of binging on their catalog. The band he had with him was out of this world good. Madden Klass on drums (19yo who took a year off from Berklee for this tour, check out her other band, Space Junk Is Forever for some SERIOUS funk and grease). Oriara Vena on guitar. Andrew Livingston on the bass cello cello cello bass bass cello.

Picked up the Gary Clark Jr live compilation on vinyl a couple weeks back which is also amazing.

Always listening to tons of Ghost. The most melodic, catchy satanic metal you’ll ever hear.

I just dont know where to start. My lovely wife just gifted me the super special remixes/anniversary CD/BR box sets of these 3 iconic albums. Hard to see but the Sgt. Peppers cover is 3d. I think I will start with that first. These sets are stuffed with gobs of cool information included. Time to head upstairs.
