A little extra on the post this morning...

SIGNAL CHAIN

Roon Player

SMSL SU-9 DAC

Monolith THX 887 Headphone Amplifier

HiFi Man HE400SE Headphones
These cans are new this year. I was intrigued by the price/performance ratio and picked 'em up on Amazon for US $129. Despite the low price they sound great (with benefit of EQ as with most headphones or loudspeakers for that matter).

I've been using Oratory1990 measurements and eq for a few years. Mostly with OPPO PM3 cans that I've owned for a good while. This week I happened across this github repository that has min phase convolution filters based on Oratory's measurements. Loaded them to Roon and Wow! Both sets of cans sound the best I've heard.

Chair: It was Mom's and present from my very first memories on.

So enough about the gear. This has always been one of my favorite LPs from the first time I played it and Hitch A Ride my favorite of the many great tunes on it. The harmonies, guitar riffs, and that final chord when it feels as though its making the skull vibrate, all amazing.
Rick Beato breaks it down here:

Have a great weekend everyone!

You as well!!!

Oh man, @JStewart, seeing your post just kicked off a day of classic rock for me. Heading down the rabbit hole!

I finally got to listen to some tunes after the weekend baby sitting dogs, dealing with the storm caused power outage and the 109km bike trip.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope the weekend treated you well. I got to spend mine with my grandson, lucky me. Today is a bitter sweet day for me as it would have been our 35th wedding anniversary today, had she beat neck cancer. I baked a cake to mark our anniversary and I went to the grave site for the first time by myself. I miss her so..

I'm sorry for your loss. But it sounds like you had a very happy marriage and for that I'm sure you're very thankful. We've been happily married for 51 years and I can't imagine being in your situation. I hope the pain lessens for you over time.

As for Ram Jam's Black Betty, I've had that album my HDTracks wishlist for a few months. I like that song but I haven't heard anything else on that album, so I'm reluctant to purchase it just for that one song.

Its actually quite a good album if you can get past the fame of their version of "Black Betty" Try searching for it on YouTube, allmusic.com or discogs.com as they may have samples of the song on that album.

It was a rainy day today so I had NO excuse not to brush out the cats and vacuum the house. I managed to listen to a couple of albums before my attention was redirected toward "stranger things" series on Netflix.

I know I spelled anniversary wrong on the cake as I was concentrating on how to use the ice tube applicator for lack of better words. :)

Good morning everyone. The monsoons are back and I havent seen the pond this full since we moved here back in 2017. If you trace the rocks in diagonal straight line, you will notice a flat tip of a rock just above the push. Usually, that rock sits 2 to 3 feet out of the water. I'm not worried about flooding as it still has a way to go reach me.

Hello everyone.

:)

I hope everyone had a good Tuesday. I went for a 52km bike ride and then looked after my 4 month old grandson in the afternoon. We were listening to

Happy Sunday!!
:)
I hope everyone's weekend is turning out well. I did an 80 km bike ride yesterday and still managed to entertain my 5 month old grandson with some Kinks and blues.
