Setting up my new laptop and playing around with some changes, but notice that there is no plain MINIDSP option for devices, only the 2x4 HD.
The problem is that I have a plain one which is only 6 points of EQ, whereas the 2x4 HD is 10 points.
How do I get it back, or what settings should I use to export the EQ settings properly?

or am I a bonehead, and the 48 kHZ one is for the plain MINIDSP?

Thank you, John. And thank you for all the work you do on this at your own personal expense.
I've never been unhappy with my system, but this software has allowed me to make it that much better. If nothing else, the interactivity gets me listening to music more often as I play and learn.

Which one is the correct choice for the Flex? Which one exports correctly to the miniDSP Flex plugin?

Chris

Not to hijack but is there a plugin for a graphic eq for the 2x4HD or can you use the PEQ as a graphic EQ.

I found out the hard way that 96 kHz, for exporting, doesn't work for the Flex. The plugin will accept the file, but the results are garbage. FYI...

This is I think important in that there are really two types of DSP crossovers that miniDSP now offers: 2x4 HD, and everything else that looks like a Flex. Apparently, the export-import for Flex crossovers is not currently supported (if what I say just above is actually true--as I believe it is).

I was trying to remotely dial-in a Flex for another guy by him sending me his .mdat files, and I sent back Flex import files. It didn't work--after trying everything else. Then I shipped him a screen shot from the REW EQ window PEQs for him to type in by hand, and it worked first time (as predicted by REW's EQ facility).

He dis-installed Dirac Live in order to gain access to input channel PEQs. It still didn't work, since when you select 48 kHz (IIRC) it reduces the number of output channel PEQs to 6 (biquads).

I have a Flex 8 (no Dirac) that works fine with REW export files. I'm set to 96KHz. HTH.

Why not call it "Flex w/Dirac" within the EQ facility...instead of "C-DSP 8x12"? Counting on the users to know this applies to the Flex is probably not a good assumption.

Like I stated before, miniDSP now sells basically two different DSP crossovers: the 2x4 HD and everything else that's called "Flex".

Chris

It exists now...as the clear heir apparent to the entire miniDSP crossover line. It's existed for a couple of years.
