How 'bout those Commanders! What a turnaround!!

Well... only with Jalen out. He went out, and the defense gave in. :whistling:

There is some truth to that… BUT… they still put the points up even with 5 offensive turnovers.

Commanders aren’t perfect, but I think they may create a little chaos in the playoffs. It’s been a looong time since we’ve pulled in a 10 win season.

Kinda don’t know how to react, to be honest

Be happy?

That would seem to be the reasonable reaction - but we’re talking about 30 years of pitiful.

Learned Helplessness is real

lol... yeah... I can understand that.

What about the Browns, the first team that came to mind with me as being truly pitiful for so many years? So... here's a 30-year ranking of the worst.

I'm feeling lower than you because the Jets are my all-time favorite team if I had to claim one. It was mainly due to Joe Willie Namath (Bama QB) in the 60s when I was just figuring out what football was. My parents always pulled for the Jets, and I followed the lead. How can you forget a name like Emerson Boozer, number 32... our running back then? And... Wilbur "Weeb" Ewbank... who coached us in the Super Bowl game we won in 1969.

That’s awesome to have those kind of memories. That’s what sports are all about - tying moments into your life.

I guess the difference between the Redskins/Commanders and those teams, is that they were, at one time, a jewel of the NFL. They were good all through my childhood in the 70s/80s and won a Super Bowl in 90s.

The fall from grace and the abysmal ownership period of Dan Snyder from 99-2023 was particularly painful.

Not that losing and bad teams isn’t painful for any fan, but Washington went from being one of the best run and best coached teams, to being a toxic joke. The fan base is so dilapidated, that the Skins had to physically remove some 20K seats from the stadium to keep home games “sold out” so games wouldn’t be blacked out locally.

In 1990s, the waitlist for season tix was 150,000 long. It was basically impossible to get a ticket to see a game. Then, for basically 25 years, more visiting fans were showing up than home fans. About 8 years ago, the team announced there is no longer a waitlist for tix

Honestly, it got to the point where divesting emotion was the only way to cope with such a poorly run organization.
