Code Beer Company does not give their beers fancy names, just ask for the style you want. I really like that.

I give you, Pale Ale, my favorite style, a style that is harder to find on tap than it should be. These guys nailed it, probably my favorite, yet.

Code Beer Wee Heavy. The hand on the far glass makes the beer. I had try a sample. An interesting new style and good conversation ensued.

The 2 best beers I have ever tasted were... Pliney the Elder, and Pliney the Younger. $8 a bottle, and restricted sales...was 1 bottle per person. Our local Concord, Ca. Liquor store would get it in once or twice a month, and it was sold out in minutes every time. The only other way for us to get it was a couple hour drive to the Brewery where you would stand in long lines to get in. Now I have a wheat allergy so I cannot even drink 99% of the beers I liked before.

This!!! How can you not want to try it? Yeah, it's pretty tasty in an unexpected way! Delicious dark chocolate, malty, peanut buttery, with a hint of coffee. You wouldn't think it would work but it does.

I've tried the Belching Beaver once. It's rather interesting, but not something I'd drink all the time. The peanut butter is good, but the chocolate gets lost a bit midst the taste of the peanut butter and malt

I'd have to agree with you but I suspect I enjoyed it more than you did. Even with the low ABV it's certainly not something I would consider as a session beer, I think it would get old really quick. As an every now and then I find it quite tasty. Flavor reminds me of a Nutter Butter cookie more so than straight up peanut butter.
