Big upset today.. Number 14 Minnesota beat Number 5 Penn State 31 to 26..

PJ Fleck has done an outstanding job with Minnesota... glad to see him doing so well. They should be ranked #4.

Bama is getting the snot beat out of them... and we have made more mistakes this year than I can even remember.

I thought we would struggle, but did not think we'd get dirt stomped. Joe Burrow is playing lights out too.

The LSU/Alabama game was a high scoring affair.. LSU won 46 to 41..yeah, Alabama made lot of mistakes but still it was a close game.

Except for the final score that was a great game to watch. Two outstanding teams with Bama’s early mistakes and Tua not 100% nearly overcome. Very exciting 2nd half.

Yeah... too many blunders from the Tide in the first half... but our offense did an excellent job in the second half. The defense just could not stop their passing attack. We've got a LOT of work to do to get our pass defense respectable. This seems to be the one thorn in our side that we can not shake... along with the inability to recruit a good kicker, which I have never understood.

Well the rankers, like myself, are not totally convinced that Minny is the real deal. They were very close to losing that game to Penn State. Penn State was down near the endzone when Clifford threw his 3rd interception of the day.

Have hope my friend!! My Dad was a die hard Red Sox fan for almost 60 years before before they came through with a Series win for him. Not quite a century for the Sox. 1918 to 2004.

I was sure hoping PJ could get the Gophers to the playoffs... but that game last week must have wore them out.

Glad to see the Sooners come back against the Bears... that was a fun game to watch.

Of course the sad news for Bama fans... Tua is gone... we saw him play his last game in an Alabama uniform today. I hate he couldn't get a full season in without injuries... and he came along when Bama has had some of their weakest defenses. Now we'll see what Mac Jones can do for us the rest of the season... then he'll have some pretty serious competition next year with Tua's brother, Taulia... and one that I'm very interesting in knowing more about, Bryce Young. If we ever plan to win another championship, we will have to figure out something different than what we are doing with all that supposedly fabulous talent... or get a better defensive coach.

Seen it too many times here in Minny. Things are almost always too good to be true. On the plus side, they are on the right track and PJ is locked up for something like 7 more years.
