I have the Marantz Cinema 50, had it since last year, so far I'm enjoying it, have a 7.2 system, what do you think of yours so far?? still like it?? let us know :T

I am debating between the 60 and the 70s.. I currently have an NAD 7.2 receiver (T-777). It finally died. It had 80 W.

The main difference that I can see is the wattage for the 60 and 70s.

100 W for the 60 and 50 W for the 70s.

The receiver will be in an open game room area, not in an enclosed "home theater". Besides watching movies, PS4/5 will be there for gaming...

I am leaning toward the 70s but wanted to hear any input from owners. How satisfied are you with either model? Any recommendation?

Thank you Todd!

Marantz's CINEMA 70 is a very good receiver, but as you know the CINEMA 60 is the step-up model and has several advantages that will give you better audio fidelity for your use-case.

When you make the lower powered CINEMA 70 get to the same volume as the CINEMA 60 would deliver you will be pushing the power supply and the built-in amplifiers harder.

This is particularly important when used in a large open room, and assuming you are driving 7 speakers the CINEMA 60's higher watts per channel will render better detail and moderately better fidelity, and also slightly enhanced dynamic tonal range as you will not need to drive the built-in amplifiers as hard to get the volume you want.

Also the CINEMA 60 has a better power supply for a more stable operation, and the overall fit, finish, and build quality is better on the CINEMA 60.

Thanks for the clarity on the differences. Spec sheets mostly indicate the wattage difference. Good info to have for consumers.
