So here goes the Apple Newbie Rant....
So there is speculation that Apple will some time in the near future announce the actual new IPhone models, at which time it is speculated that they will announce when it will be available for purchase which is speculated to be within a week or so of announcement.
What kind of wonky release process is this....

Furthermore there is speculation that Apple will be announcing at this speculative time, the speculative release date of Apple Watch 3.

So I am happy with my Ipad Mini 4 purchase. And pretty set on the purchase of the IPhone 7S upon release. What I am undetermined on is the Apple Watch. Welcome to the world of Apple! It's all about creating a feverish anticipation for what is IMO some of the greatest gadgets available. I guess I'm just one of the isheep as the android crowd likes to refer to us as.

I would say you'd be best off returning it if you think you'd prefer the 3 IF it's released.

Apple likes to be secretive. What can I say? The safe route is to return the 2 and if they release a 3rd gen you're good to go. Keep in mind you'll pay a premium for the latest and greatest. In the event they don't release you can always catch another sale. Have you researched the "speculative" upgrades expected on the gen 3 watch? I don't need or want another data plan for my watch. I also don't care for a round watch face to look like a conventional watch.

Some of the speculation is good, some may not be so great depending on the user.
The display is suppose to be crisper, you can use apps, and get notifications etc. without tethering, calling independently from the phone is rumored to not be included (personally that's fine). There has been speculation of a round face but not enough for me to believe that it will change from the square. I like the idea that it may basically operate independent as a monitoring/notification device. Not interested in making phone calls from my watch like a secret service agent. It's not meant to replace a IPhone its meant to add functionality and ease of notification.

My guess is the upgrades will be insignificant. Trust me the gen 2 display is great. 1,000 nits brightness in direct sunlight and very crisp. In the event Apple surprises me with some crazy improvements I'll sell my gen 2 and buy the gen 3.

One of the things I love about this watch is the ability to change its look. Not only bands but the face as well. It can adept to any setting.

What is the opinion on apple charging devices

I get the impression from reading different articles there is some belief that non-apple charging devices may harm your device... If they are certified to the same standard why would it be an issue?
