Sonnie - that Alabama v Miss St game was insane. State completely blew it at the end... why they kept trying to run the ball is beyond me (especially once Bama had tied it up).

Alabama looks so calm under pressure. Very impressive two touchdowns to tie and win that game. They are GOOD.

Not quite sure how ND is still ranked ahead of OSU. OSU has been on a roll!

That was no doubt a superb come-back, but boy did State expose our weakness with our 4 hurt backers.

Auburn has a far better team than State and I think we may be more exposed this coming weekend in the Iron Bowl. I am not optimistic about it at all. Of course we can't necessarily win every year, and I think we'll be much improved next year.

Welp... my Tide got toppled tonight. Congrats to the Auburn team and fans... you deserve it, and by far played the best ball today.

I think it should be the end of the season for the Tide, short of a respectable bowl bid. I just don't see us having the team to be in the playoffs this year. We'll get beat the first round with the way we have been playing.

Auburn looked really good... not sure how they lost to Clemson or LSU, not as good as they have been playing these last few games. I think Oklahoma might be the best team, with Auburn being a close second. It would sure be an interesting title game between those two teams.

Boy, how long has it been since FSU was not even in the top 25! At least we beat Florida! And in the swamp! That makes 5 years in a row for Jimbo, a new record.

Who is Bama playing next weekend?

The last few weeks in CF have been insane.

Wow... Auburn is playing great ball right now. I'd love to see them lock horns with Clemson in a National Championship game.

That would be a great/must see game to watch!

Is Jimbo really going to Texas A&M? WOW, if he is and IMO would be a huge loss for Florida St.

Yeah, he's gone...7. something million/year!!! Can't blame a guy for that. It will be interesting who wants to come to FSU. Such a good place to play football. We have spent upwards of $400,000,000.00 on football things since Jimbo started. He really pushed for all the fixin's that the other powers had. Texas A&M already has them & what a salary offer! He should do a great job over there.

Big news for Mizzou with Terry Beckner Jr. coming back for his senior year. He most likely would have been a low 1st or high 2nd round pick so somewhat surprising. Now if we can somehow get Drew Lock to come back we might be a pretty formidable team next year. Barry Odom did a nice job righting the ship when it looked very bleak.

Jimbo got 75 million on a 10 year contract. With him at A&M, Dan Mullins at Florida, Gus Malzahn at Arkansas, a new coach at Tennessee, a new coach at Auburn, and you know both of those coaches are going to be pretty good coaches, then Kirby getting all of his guys back at Georgia next year... the SEC is going to be brutal over the next few years.

Did I miss something? Did Gus leave Auburn?

It is rumored he is heading that way.

That would be surprising but heck after Jimbo leaving nothing would shock me at this point.

I believe they have offered him 50 million.

I may have chosen the wrong profession. Sheesh, the money the coaches are raking in is ridiculous! Some even have clauses that state they must be among the top paid coaches. So coaches like Saban get a raise every time a new benchmark is set and don’t have to pack up and move.

Malzahn got a 7 year extension with Auburn, so I suppose they are happy with him. They should be really good again next year.

Florida State hires Oregon's Willie Taggart to replace Jimbo Fisher

from yahoo

Taggert has always improved every team he has coached. Is he in the top 10 of coaches? Time will tell. He is a great recruiter for sure so he has that going for him (that is a must in this day and age). I was skeptical about Jimbo when he came...so I'm very willing to give him a shot.

per yahoo, Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield wins Heisman Trophy
