You can use the print screen button on the keyboard to capture an image of the whole screen, or Alt+print screen to capture the currently active window. The image goes in the clipboard, if you open the Paint application you can paste the image there and save it as a JPEG image that can be attached. In the meantime, a couple of questions:
What did you do to 'turn off the sounds mixer'? Best undo that.
What are you using as your microphone? If it is a miniDSP UMIK, it doesn't appear to be plugged in, note that the cable needs to be pushed pretty firmly into the back of the mic to connect properly.
