What are you listening to right now?

Interesting take on a "classic". Makes me feel old just saying that.

I'm not much on country, but the one song that caught me on this album is Good As You... some are too country, but I'm beginning to like a few of the others.

My wife's a country fan, Eric Church in particular, so I hear a fair bit. For several years now much of it seems to have crossed over to pop with country harmonies and a southern accent. (used to that too. Mrs is from southwest Kentucky) I've also heard a couple of "country" tunes that incorporate elements of hip hop.
So while I'm not quite sure what country is anymore, I find there's much worth listening to.

Is it any good? The trailer audio was awful.

I was thinking about renting the UHD 4K, but if the audio isn't good, I don't want to waste the money.

I’m a concert film aficionado and the Delicate Sound of Thunder is the best there is. I had the laserdisc and was thrilled to see this was completely re-edited and mixed from the original masters. It does not disappoint. Sound and image are amazing. I actually watched part of it just this morning. I’m not even that big of a Pink Floyd fan, but this is a must have.

That's good to know. We use to watch the laserdisc all the time, but as our equipment progressed over the years, the laserdisc looked and sounded poor... and the attempted copies of it that I was able to obtain were terrible. Looking forward to checking it out.

I had created a pretty decent 720p copy of the laserdisc, did some color balancing and noise reduction and then set proper levels on the audio, so it was a decent stopgap. But this is amazing. They went back to the original 35mm film and re-edited in 16:9, and remixed and mastered the audio.
It really makes the reissue of Pulse from the same box set look horrible, as that was shot on BetaSP, so there wasn’t much that could be done to improve it.

I was listening to that on Roon pulling a 24/96 stream from Qobuz... It sounds very good to me... It is on par with David Gilmour's Live in Gdańsk... I don't have any idea how the UHD would sound thou...

Alvin Lee could flat out play. Some of blues numbers on Ten Years After - Live are among my all time favorites.
If they had a larger body of work he may have got the popular recognition he deserved.
There’s video of them playing Woodstock. Not the greatest production value but good to watch him play.

Roon doesn't care much for the source file! Well Roon, if you can tell me where to buy a copy of the CD I gladly will!
I've had this and listened to it many times over many years. Originally purchased through iTunes before it was pulled from their offerings. It remains my favorite JB live album despite Roon's protestations.
Dynamic range is quite good. Perhaps that overcomes a few lost samples and bits?
