Good morning friends A cold snap is heading our way with temps hitting the low -30s to -40s region overnight. Last night's listening session was spent listening to the cassettes I recorded in the last two weeks.

Good morning friends. I still have this bloody cold despite my best efforts of trying to listen it away to music. Oh well. It will take its course. I'm going to try and get on the exercise bike for an hour around 9:00 to see how I fare.

Here is yesterday's listening session.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of Mahler at this point but its a work in progress. Beethoven & Schubert remain by top 2 favourites.

Nazareth and Thin Lizzy...haven't heard them since i was in the USAF in the 80s. Now i am going to see if they have them on Tidal for me to hear again.

I hope all is well with you. I'm going to take it easy today. I felt really good after an hour on the exercise bike yesterday but I feel more like shite today. Drinking lots of fluids as kept me running to the bathroom every 2 hours *LOL Oh well.. Its the first time I've been ill since my wife passed 2.5 years ago.

Listened to a recording I made earlier this week and found out it had dead spots on the recording. Looked at the tape and found it was damaged at these parts so I'll have to record again to a another tape.

Seeing your mixtapes reminds me how spoiled by tech & convenience I’ve become.

There’s millions of songs accessible just by touching this screen and DSP tech that makes AirPods sound similar to audiophile headphones.

I see the attraction of LPs to so many and miss it sometimes, but like trips to browse the new releases at the video rental shop, there’s no going back for me now.

It’s a 1st world lament I can live with.

Good morning "J", Todd, ddude003, NBPK402, and anyone else I missed !! I felt like Orphan Annie last night when I read the weather forecast, "the sun will come out tomorrorw!! tomorrow!!" and low and behold its sunny!! **

I recorded the "The Essential East Coast Blues" to another old tape I had kicking around and listened to it. All is good now.

Listened to this soundtrack while on the spin bike yesterday,


I caught her on PBS. I liked her songs so much that I purchased "The Essential Mary Chapin Carpenter" CD off of Amazon.

Added a new Rega Planar 6 to the 2ch setup on Friday so it’s been 100% vinyl since then. Really blown away by the detail on this setup, bass extension is fantastic, and the noise floor is almost non-existent. Currently shaking the to an all-time favorite, Jamiroquai. Unfortunately the yellow vinyl clashes with the yellow Exact 2 cartridge. I guess I’ll survive.
