Good afternoon "J", Todd, ddude003, NBPK402, and anyone else I missed !! Dam winter is relentless. Snow was heavy and I had to use the snowblower. Drive is getting filled again but this is the lighter stuff without the ice pellets in it so going hand shovel that. I got a loaf of homemade bread in the maker and two loaves of carrot cake in the oven.

Good Saturday morning to all!

I really have to wonder how I missed this …

Derek‘s playing is always fabulous, but sometimes I find it can be a little too much of a good thing. Fortunately, this LP is respectful of the original arrangements and Derek‘s slide is featured where it belongs. It’s a nice fresh take on a classic masterpiece. Yum!

The piano on Layla is lush.

Good bye to Yamaha orange. I replaced my RX-V1900 which had a lose HDMI connection that I had to wiggle to get the display back on the TV everytime I pulled the cabinet away from the wall to vacuum clean. This what I replaced it with.

The RX-V1900 is to the left

I really don't know at this point @JStewart... I have been a user of both Audirvana and Roon for a while now... There are a few things I like and dislike on each side of Roon or Audivana... And using the same exact kit with the same exact signal chain I must say that, in my opinion, Audirvana has better Signal Quality... I also like that Audivana has AU and VST vast plug-in capability... So adding your favorite Convolver, Upscaler, Equalizer and/or other Effects from literally thousands of plug-ins is easy... With Roon you are stuck with Roon's own Convolver, EQ, Upscaling and/or HQPlayer... On the other hand, I like Roon's user interface better... Also, there are more ways to hunt and find music as well as instant radio from what ever artist you wish to listen to... Guess I will be keeping both for a little while longer... :justdontknow:

I wonder if anyone else has used ChatGPT to create playlists... I said: "make a play list of the 5 most popular songs by dead can dance" and it answered: "Here's a playlist of the 5 most popular songs by Dead Can Dance:
  1. The Host of Seraphim
  2. Rakim
  3. Cantara
  4. The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove
  5. Yulunga (Spirit Dance)
These are some of the most iconic and recognizable songs by Dead Can Dance, spanning different albums and musical styles. Enjoy!"

Lol... :rubeyes::T
