Which sub do you own and how many?

Hey Asere... is it must me or is that attachment that small... I can't get it to show any larger. Did you upload it from your computer or copy and paste?

I currently have a pair of SVS PB16-Ultras ... and I gotta get some new pics of my room posted too. Might as well wait on my new JVC projector though.
How do you like the PB16-Ultras. I really wanted it but it is just too big for my room. Possibly in the future.

I have a very understanding wife.

Most of us probably fall in that category, this, however, is a special circumstance. Those are bound to be legendary. Pretty sure PSA has discontinued them.

Yes, they have been discontinued. These were the originals with the high excursion 15 inch woofers and weigh 240 pounds! They sold a T-18 for a while also but that also is no longer made.

They are supposedly coming out with a new flagship sealed at some point.

Previous subs:
1996 - Altec Lansing 2.1 System from Gateway Computers
2003 - Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 System
2004 - Hsu Research VTF 2 Mk I
2007 - Hsu Research VTF 2 MK III, MBM-12, Dual Buttkickers
2008 - av123 MFW-15, Dual Buttkickers
2008 - dual av123 MFW-15, Dual Buttkickers
2008 - av123 X-Sub (Office System)
2009 - Hsu Research VTF-1, Mk I (Office System)
2010 - MFW-15 Turbo (Acoustic Elegance 15" driver with Dayton amp)
2011 - Dual MFW-15 Turbos
2012 - DIY Ported sub with MFW-15 cabinet, Dayton 15" Reference HO driver, Dayton SA1000 amp
2012 - DIY Quad sealed subs (dual opposed 15" drivers)
2012 - DIY Dual opposed sub with Eminence LAB 12 drivers (Office system)

Current Sub system:
2012 - DIY Infinite Baffle system with dual manifolds mounted in floor. Each manifold has 4 Acoustic Elegance IB15 drivers (LFE channel)
2017 - 3 JTR Noesis 215RT speakers tuned to 18 Hz for LCR

I am truly not able to run with the big dogs here, yet, as I have only one measly HSU VTF3 MK5 HP.
Having said that, I know I will get another one as time moves on but in reality, it works pretty well in my room.
Oh and I too have a very understanding wife as well....that and the fact she does not hear well is bad for her but good for me.

I have a Hsu VTF-15H MK2 that I picked up at Axpona a couple of weeks ago.
Also have an infinite baffle subwoofer with 4 IB15 Acoustic Elegance drivers in a manifold build driver by a Dayton mono amp rated at 450 watts at 8 ohms. LFE are awesome. I included a couple of pics.

TC Sounds LMS Ultra 18" in a 7cf3 cabinet with 2 18" Funk Audio Passive Radiators tuned to 16HZ. got a second one on the way without the lms in it. It will have a 18" from funk audio that has similar spec's that should integrate well together. My current sub is powered by a Sanway FP14000 with miniDSP 2X4.

Right now I'm using a single SVS PB12-NSD. It's been rock solid for many years but I'd like to upgrade to their new PB16 subwoofer.

My setup can't compare to some here...
1 SVS PC12+ (sealed mode)
1 PSA S1500
I wish I could do more, but no room...

I went ahead and placed my duo KK 12012 in different areas vs stacked like Ken designed them. This is my first time doing so. I'll have to try different material and see if there is any difference for the better.

Those VTF3s are a good sub! If you pack two of those in a room you'll be a happy guy! ;-)

Do you have those running in the same room?

Curious... which one do you prefer?

This is my hope Todd, a second sub should do me well, or a third or fourth. :innocent:

Besides what I am using in Post #10, I have a pair of SVS SB12 NSD and Auralex SubDudes just sitting around waiting to be used in a future system.

I have a pair of Danley DTS10 subs, but I am thinking I might try to build 2 more for the new Negatron Theater when we get it built as the room will be larger than we currently have (hopefully it will be the size I have calculated out.)

I currently have two subs from Power Sound Audio: a 15V and an XV15SE.

I have a Seaton Sound MFW-15 Turbo-SS.

Mark Seaton's best kept secret!

I used to own the original and have heard a pair of Turbos. Massive output!

Yea, I lived with a Turbo for a couple of months. It's a gem, for sure.

I had an original as well and l always thought it was a very impressive SUB. I've never heard the turbo version. Unfortunately the amp in mine died and I got rid of it several years ago.

It's really a shame what happened with AV123.

Hello.

Im new here. I have dual um18s in seperate 12cft enclosures tuned to 16hz. With power from crown xls2000. Only running 600w to each and can hit 115db at 3m in 5000cft living room.
Love them

Welcome, Mikmaz. Those are beastly subs, indeed. 600 watts is plenty as you have seen.

Thanks. In my room i had to cut 25hz-55hz by about 15db to flatten it out. Looking forward to another amp to get to the 120db mark.☺
