Movie Roll Call: What have you seen lately?

Watching now Mechanic Resurrection. Great thus far. Jessica Alba is great eye candy.

Watched Unforgiven (finally) in 4K UHD. I’ve gotta say the video presentation was quite impressive. A trend I’m finding with some of these older 4K remasters is the audio just sounds hollow. The gunshots in particular sound tinny. On a side note I signed up for the Oppo UDP-203 giveaway and while I didn’t win the big prize I did win a 4K copy of the new Transformers so woo hoo!

My heart skipped a beat when I got the congratulations you’ve won email from Oppo. Then I read it and it was bittersweet. Not a bad consolation prize though.

I know the feeling. I was going to lay down when I saw the oppo email. I said oh my, oh my hopeing it was the player as I opened it. Glad to have won T regardless. Winning something is always a blessing.

Wonder Woman 3D. I've never been so close to Gal Gadot lol.

47 Meters Down was better then what I expected. It was suspenseful and the story had a twist.

We watched Wonder Woman on Saturday night. Really enjoyed it. I can't reliably comment on the audio, since I had to take my system down a few weeks ago, and I was listening via a 2.0 system. I will likely watch this again when I get a system up and running. But it did sound good

I highly recommend a film from Spain called El Bar or The Bar. It has great performance and it is funny and suspenseful at the same time. Currently it is on Netflix.
